Xanai Scott

Growing up in Westโ€ฏPalmโ€ฏBeach, Florida, Xanaiโ€ฏScott emerged as a standout athlete whose versatility, tenacity, and commitment to excellence quickly became his defining traits. As a dynamic force on the field, Scott earned a starring role at Cardinal Newman High Schoolโ€”so much so that the football program regarded him as a top contributor on both sides of the ball.

High School Football Excellence

At Cardinal Newman, Scott shined as both a safety and a running back, playing pivotal roles in his teamโ€™s defense and offense alike. In his high school football career, he posted an impressive stat line: 44 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 pass breakups, 1 fumble recovery, and on the ground, 45 carries for 311 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. His well-rounded performance helped pave the way to a state championship, where he made key plays and contributions that helped lead Cardinal Newman to the title.

Honors & Recognition

Scottโ€™s impact didnโ€™t go unnoticed. In the Fall 2024 athletic recap, he was among the elite group of football players earning First Team All-County honors from the Palm Beach Post, alongside teammates who were signing at the collegiate level. He also received First Team All-County recognition by the Sun Sentinel, highlighting his prominence in the countyโ€™s high school football scene.

That same year, Cardinal Newman enjoyed a historic runโ€”achieving district and regional championships and making a push to the Final Four in the state playoffs, showcasing the depth and talent of which Scott was a key part.

Coach Jack Daniels lauded the teamโ€™s speed and physicality, traits that perfectly echoed Scottโ€™s style of play. As Scott himself put it: โ€œMaking sure that we flow to the ball, doing the little things that help us winโ€.

On the Track

Beyond the gridiron, Scott also proved his athleticism in track and field. In the 2024 outdoor season, he posted standout marks: a personal best of 11.33 seconds in the 100 meters, 23.17 seconds in the 200 meters, and 6.68 meters in the long jump Florida Track Rankings. These results reflect not only his speed but also his explosive powerโ€”attributes that translated seamlessly back onto the football field.

Standing at 5’11” and weighing 180 lbs, Scott is a well-built athlete whose performance spans multiple sports. He also played varsity basketball as a guard (#13) while starring on the football field (#3) MaxPreps.com. His commitment to both academics and athletics in a college-preparatory environment underscores his multifaceted talents and drive.
